The Last of Us: A New Chapter Unfolds
The world of The Last of Us is about to get a whole lot more exciting. Academy Award nominee Jeffrey Wright has just joined the cast of season 2, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Wright will be playing the live-action version of Isaac, the leader of the Washington Liberation Front, a militia group fighting for liberty in a post-Clicker world.

Gabriel Luna, Isabela Merced, Young Mazino, Kaitlyn Dever, and Catherine O’Hara will also be joining the show, alongside returning stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. And let’s not forget Tati Gabrielle, who was recently reported to be joining the cast.
“Some of the stuff I’m most excited for [in Part 2] are the changes we’ve discussed and seeing the story come to life again in this other version. And I think it’s exciting because it leans into those feelings you had from the game, really heavily, in a new way.” - Neil Druckmann
The creators of the show, Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, are committed to pleasing both video game fans and live-action series fans by casting the game’s voice actors in the show. And it’s working! Merle Dandridge, who played Marlene in the video game, reprised her role in the first season.
