In a major shake-up, Studio Lambert, the production company behind the hit Netflix series Squid Game: The Challenge, has announced a trio of promotions within its senior leadership team. The moves come as drama boss Sue Hogg steps back from her day-to-day role to focus on individual projects.

Tim Harcourt, a long-serving executive producer on Squid Game: The Challenge, has been promoted to Chief Creative Officer. Mike Cotton, known for his work on Channel 4’s Gogglebox, takes on the role of Creative Director (Unscripted), while Maddie Sinclair, the executive behind BBC Three’s upcoming Boarders comedy-drama, becomes Creative Director (Scripted).

Sue Hogg, who founded Studio Lambert’s drama department nearly a decade ago, will take on the new role of Creative Consultant. During her tenure, she has helmed several notable projects, including BBC trio Three Girls, Three Families, and The Nest, as well as Amazon Prime Video’s The Feed.

Studio Lambert’s CEO, Stephen Lambert, has expressed his hopes that Boarders will become the company’s first returning scripted series. With a focus on drama, the company has several projects in the pipeline, including new seasons of The Traitors for the BBC and Peacock, more The Circle for Netflix, and French and German versions of Surviving Paradise.

“Tim is an outstanding creative leader and has been my partner in the business since 2020,” said Lambert. “He and I are delighted Mike and Maddie are taking on creative director roles, something which reflects the responsibility and creative work they have been doing for some time now. We are also very grateful to Sue for establishing us as a producer of high-quality drama programmes and we are very glad she will continue her relationship with our company.”

With these changes, Studio Lambert is poised to continue its success in the world of drama production.
