KAOS: The Greek Gods Get a Modern Makeover
Netflix has just dropped the first look at its highly anticipated new series, KAOS, and it’s safe to say that we’re more than a little excited. The show, which is set to land on the platform this August, boasts an all-star cast, including Jeff Goldblum as Zeus and Janet McTeer as Hera.
The gods are back in town
In this modern retelling of Greek mythology, Zeus is not just the king of the gods, but also a stylish and all-powerful ruler who’s used to getting his way. However, when he wakes up one morning to find a wrinkle on his forehead, his world is turned upside down.
“Believing it to be the harbinger of an ancient prophecy which foretells his destruction, neurosis sets in: Zeus becomes convinced his fall is coming.”
As Zeus’s paranoia takes hold, he starts to self-destruct, and it’s up to three disparate humans to save the world from his downfall. But who are these humans, and what’s their cosmic significance?
Zeus: King of the gods, ruler of the world
One thing’s for sure - with a cast that includes Nabhaan Rizwan as Dionysus, Aurora Perrineau as Riddy, and Killian Scott as Orpheus, this show is going to be a wild ride. And let’s not forget the creator of the show, Charlie Covell, who’s known for his work on The End Of The F***ing World.
The gods are back, and they’re not happy
So, what can we expect from KAOS? From the sounds of it, it’s going to be a darkly comic take on Greek mythology, exploring love, power, and life in the underworld. And with Jeff Goldblum at the helm, we know it’s going to be a stylish and unforgettable ride.
