Fallout TV Series Finally Gets a Release Date on Prime Video
The wait is almost over for fans of the popular video game franchise, Fallout. Prime Video has announced the release date for its upcoming post-apocalyptic drama series, Fallout, and it’s coming sooner than you think.
The Fallout TV Series: A New Take on a Classic Franchise
The Fallout series, starring Walton Goggins, will premiere on April 12, 2024. The news was announced on Monday, also known as “Fallout Day” in the video game community, with a teaser styled like one of the Pip-Boys in the game.

The series takes place in a future, post-apocalyptic Los Angeles, where citizens must live in underground bunkers to protect themselves from radiation, mutants, and bandits after nuclear annihilation. The story begins in Vault 33, one such bunker that is a prominent setting in the video games.
A Star-Studded Cast Brings Fallout to Life
Along with Goggins, the series also stars Ella Purnell, Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones, and Aaron Moten. Goggins is known for starring in the FX series “Justified,” and Purnell gained recognition for her role as Jackie in Showtime’s “Yellowjackets.” MacLachlan is known as a frequent collaborator of director David Lynch, having starred in “Twin Peaks” and “Blue Velvet.”

A New Take on a Classic Franchise
Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner serve as executive producers, writers, and co-showrunners. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the duo behind “Westworld,” executive produce via Kilter Films under their Amazon overall deal. Athena Wickham of Kilter Films also executive produces, along with Todd Howard for Bethesda Game Studios and James Altman for Bethesda Softworks. Amazon and Kilter Films produce in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks. Nolan directed the first three episodes of the series.
