Emilia Clarke’s Next Big Move: The Game of Thrones Star Takes on Prime Video’s Latest Crime Series
Emilia Clarke, the actress who brought Daenerys Targaryen to life in HBO’s hit fantasy series Game of Thrones, has just landed her next lead TV role. This time, she’ll be playing Malory, a slick and skilled armed robber in the new Prime Video series Criminal.
Cops and Robbers
Criminal, based on the graphic novel series by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, boasts an impressive cast, including Charlie Hunnam, Richard Jenkins, and Adria Arjona. The series promises to be an “interlocking universe of crime stories,” which sounds intriguing.
Malory, Clarke’s character, is part of a wider heist crew that includes crook Ricky Lawless (played by Fear the Walking Dead star Gus Halper). Their Bonnie and Clyde-style romance adds an extra layer of tension to the story.
Additional cast members include John Hawkes, Logan Browning, Kadeem Hardison, Pat Healy, Taylor Sele, Aliyah Camacho, Michael Mando, Marvin Jones III, Michael Xavier, and Dominic Burgess.
Behind the Scenes of Criminal
Comic book creators Phillips and Brubaker will act as executive producers on Criminal, with Brubaker also taking on the role of co-showrunner. This talented team promises to deliver a gripping and intense crime series that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
The Masterminds Behind Criminal
In other news, Clarke has also landed her next movie role, joining the cast of the upcoming Netflix film The Twits. The animated movie, based on the classic Roald Dahl children’s book of the same name, boasts an all-star voice cast that includes Natalie Portman, Margo Martindale, and Johnny Vegas.
Criminal will stream on Prime Video, with a release date yet to be announced. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new series!
