A New Kind of Criminal Emerges on Prime Video

In a surprising turn of events, Emilia Clarke, the beloved star of Game of Thrones, is set to lead the upcoming Prime Video series Criminal, alongside Gus Halper and Charlie Hunnam. This thrilling new series is based on the critically acclaimed graphic novel of the same name.

A hardened criminal on the wrong side of the law.

Clarke will play the role of Mallory, a hardened criminal who is as quick with a gun as she is with her wits. She is one half of a bank-robbing duo, with her partner being the aptly named Ricky Lawless, played by Gus Halper. The plot thickens as Mallory is described as a woman on the edge, living on the wrong side of the law and hiding secrets that will bring her and her crew into the danger zone.

Also joining the cast are Charlie Hunnam, Adria Arjona, Richard Jenkins, and John Hawkes. Written by Ed Brubaker and drawn by Sean Philips, the original graphic novel spanned 36 issues and took in a range of characters on the wrong side of the law, all connected by the series’ fictional city location.

A crime scene in the city.

The TV series will follow a similar crime anthology format, with each episode delving into the dark and gritty world of crime. Hunnam is set to play Leo, a master thief who sees all the angles and specializes in plans with guns and no violence.

A master thief always sees the angles.

With filmmaking duo Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden (Captain Marvel, Mississippi Grind) directing the first four episodes, this series is shaping up to be a gripping and intense ride.
